THE CHALLENGE
Final-year students at the University of Benin faced challenges in navigating career opportunities, building professional and soft skills, and preparing for the competitive job market. These students required tailored guidance to align their aspirations with practical career pathways and secure internships that would provide hands-on experience and industry exposure.
OUR APPROACH
We launched a comprehensive mentorship and training program tailored to the unique needs of final-year students.
Individual Consultations: We began with personalised sessions to understand each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges. This approach allowed us to provide customised advice and solutions.
Interactive Sessions: Our team facilitated engaging workshops and discussions focused on career opportunities, entrepreneurship, and essential soft and professional skills. These sessions fostered a supportive learning environment, sparking enlightening conversations and promoting personal growth.
Internship Facilitation: Plans were initiated to connect students with reputable private and public sector organisations, providing them with valuable on-the-job training and industry experience.
